Incubation Period

The installation “Incubation Period” is a collage of fragmented images taken throughout my experience of Hurricane Katrina. These visual memories are surrounded by images of water, installed into a bay window at the La Napoule Residency final exhibition. The structure of the installation is a reference to an isolation tank, where fragmented memories can exist in a fetus-like state. This installation serves as an emotional catharsis for an overwhelming personal transformation that has occurred since Katrina.
