These 6 works are from a larger project completed under the mentorship of Alfredo Jaar at the Santa Fe Art Institute. The project involved photographing unidentified illegal immigrants who has crossed the Mexico border by foot, revealing to the camera only the items they secretly brought with them when they walked across. These images were then super-imposed onto captures taken of the border. The fragmented imagery humanizes illegal immigrants, by revealing their experience in a personal and visceral manner.
